Meet Mary Colburn-Green

Mary Colburn-Green
UFred Community Liaison

Bonjour,My name is Mary Colburn-Green, and I am very excited to be one of the contributors to the new UFred Leading Edge alumni newsletter. I’m not French, but we did spend the summer at our home in St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, NB, the only bilingual province in Canada. Now we’re chez nous at our home in Southern France (an hour north of the Spanish border) and I imagine that a brief self-introduction might help us get acquainted.

In my lifetime growing up as a US military dependent and then as a student, anthropologist, and business woman, I’ve lived in the US, Germany, Thailand, Niger, the Virgin Islands, and many areas of the US, Canada, France and Spain. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Berkeley and my passion for education has since flourished.

My entire career, starting in San Francisco, has been devoted to PR, Marketing, and Management Consulting and for the past thirty years I’ve owned and operated my own consulting agencies. Aside from a professional passion for market research, strategic planning, image branding and creative communications, I’m quite the dilettante in my personal pursuits. I love to paint, travel, photograph, write, garden, and explore spirituality and alternative health topics.  I adore dogs and children. I am married to Dr. Ken Green, Provost at the University of Fredericton. We met in the Gold Country of California and have been married for 36 years.

I look forward to getting to know you and other members of the growing UFred community. Our objective simply is for as many as possible to join in creating an incredible blog adventure that adds value to our lives.
