Student Testimonial – Jessica Garneau

Corporal Jessica Garneau

The University of Fredericton has given me the opportunity to pursue my education while competing in various sports and working full time in the Canadian Forces. Its delivery method makes the University of Fredericton’s studies so enriching. You get to learn from your peers and your professor’s experiences – like you would in a traditional bricks-and-mortar University.

Teamwork has shown me the challenges that come with being part of a virtual global team. I have had to plan meetings with my teammates while taking into account their different time zones, for instance. I have had to learn the challenges, but also the opportunities, that come with global teams.

With the advancement of communication technologies, I believe virtual global teams will become increasingly common in the workplace, both in the private and public sectors. Getting my MBA in Global Leadership will surely give me the tools and knowledge required to face today’s challenges in the business sector. While my focus is in Global Leadership, having courses in various key sectors (such as marketing, finance, accounting, and HR) have made me aware of how all departments in a company need to work together in order to succeed.

I would recommend the University of Fredericton to anyone who is willing to put in the effort to get a degree or certificate with an affordable, high-quality, accredited online Canadian University.
